Ho Ho Ho-lidays!

Good day to everyone. The holidays are finally upon us and it's great to have tons of free time now to do whatever we want. So far we have both, however, been bored- and I think that this is a common and understated problem.

Many people, which I regularly communicate, are also of the belief that there is very little activities in which ladies and gentlemen of our age group can partake in. Certainly, the larger towns (such as Worthing) and the big city (Brighton & Hove) offer a fair range of social endeavours however none of them are deeply fulfilling. Here in sunny Shoreham there are no such activities and we spend our time engaging in physical exercise (badminton, cycling and suchlike) I think it's about time everyone did something interesting with the holiday that we have all been so looking forward to. So then, any ideas anyone?

Peace to you all!
p.s A big shout to Joe Payne (a co-designer on the 'big arse paper plane project') and a regular reader of the blog- good man! I also hear Benny C also enjoys a spot of blogging enlightenment so good on him to!

IT'S CHRISTMAS!

Hello again you very bored people indeed and welcome back to the wonderous and fantastical realms of our blog. As I scribe this message into the blog to rest for ages we are resting on the penultimate day of our school term, yes, the much-hyped Christmas is also here and so we thought it was time to get festive! In not so many big words that basically means it's the last day of school otmorrow and Christmas is just round the (even though rather long) courner. Obviously though we have taken care of that by doing all our christmas shopping way in advance (for ourselves of course; remids me...)

The Christmas Dinner (in which a vast majority of the school congegate) was an event that had to be seem to be believed and was wonderful, even if not for the food! Mark and I then travelled home sporting our newly obtained paper Chistmas hats which attracted many a stare from CHAV's and normal folk alike! Lmao as it were (not literally i'd like to mention). Christmas dinner was good. I throughly enjoyed my turkey wrapped in a layer of gelotine and the potatoes with each one manufactured and precessed so it was percislet the same as the last. God it was great! Althrogh the hats did make up for it; i happen to still be 'sporting' mine right now. Rather handsome if i may be so bold. Maybe i could start a new trend... (see the pic)

There was also an excuse to build a grand project. Mark and I finally got round to building a metre-long, paper aeroplane which was constructed predominately of card and sticky tape and flew rather gracefully I must say! Oh and you can find pictures of this amazing feet somewhere around on this blog. Its hard to imagine a paper plane just so big and what a great thing to do in a science lesson. Althrough i must add it did in fact take two science lessons the sencond to get it trimmed so it flew beautifully like a knife throguht butter (sorry, had to be said)

We also completed our science presentation of 'the orgins of Ben' (see an earlier blog for full details) which drew many laughs and cheers, strangely for Ben's mum?!? Yes yes, i know very random indeed this but it, again, had to be done. It was quite funny really got a laugh or two at the homozygous part. With Frazer taking the piss; poor ben, and his mum!

Anyways, I feel your otherwise focused attention slow ebbing away and speculate that it is time to close. Before I do, however, I would like to give a 'shout' to alex who, very kindy, left a comment on the previous post. She's great and so we're 'bigging her up' as per her suggestion (hope i've 'bigged it up' enough there alex!) I really don't think that was bigged up enough so i thought i'd big it up a bit more just so it was slightly bigger. Can you actually beelive people are reading this i mean its basically at its 200th reader now. I cant beleive it; i never knew our lives were this intresting; maybe we should start a new typoe of Truman show? It's an idea; it you like it tell us. So yes Thank you alex for the comment and i hope it is what you expected and im sure we can work something out that is bigger next time. I'd also like to say happy birthday to alex because i've got a feeling its possiably her birthday (...soon...). But until then Merry Christmas everyone.

As the latop which I am currently writing crashed halfway through this message I thought that this quote from Alice Kahn was wholely appropriate 'For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press three.' Oh dam it. I am whole heartidly (excuse the spelling , you get the idea) annoyed. Thats life hey; yet i'd also like to leave a quote "Don't you sometimes wish TV's had a intelligance knob. Theres one for brightness but it doesnt work". Unrelated yes but still very true.

Until the
next time! Indeed. When will be next time. By then i imaigne it will be almost Christmas and my hat would of gone! Oh dear.

Bye!

Last Week, Christmas and (bizarrely) Genetics

Hiya public at large!

It's been a while since I added my two cents to the blog so I thought I’d dip into the rather limited gene pool of life and offer just a little bit of me. So, I seemed to have inadvertently blinked and in that time Christmas ran up and pushed me into a locker, as so often happens at St Andrews. Yes everyone - it's Christmas time again (in case you forgot or anything!) This all leads us to the last week of school and the most unseasonable revision for exams commencing January 3rd.

Perhaps more amusingly though- Mark, Matt and a few of our friends will be conducting a short presentation soon- all about a boy called Ben and why his hair is so blonde! The objective of this is to educate you lovely people about genetics but it should be quite amusing and is entitled 'Look Around You' after the award winning BBC comedy. We shall try to have it filmed for the site so stay tuned!

Before I sign off for the day a lovely lady called Jade asked me to mention her very kind self on the blog! Hello Jade (wave etc.!) Finally I shall leave you with the wise words of Theodore Sutrgoen 'Ninety percent of everything is crap [how very true in the sense of this blog!]
Goodnight brothers and sisters!

Saturday Night.....

Ok, very good, fun yet odd day today.

We went to Brighton! Yes, we were trying to avoid it but no longer could it be avoided; the time had come to face up to our fears and head into the city that never sleeps (or am i thinking of somewhere else). Well, never the less we still didn't want to go; and what was on the agender; oh yes Christmas Shopping. Isn't our day just getting better and better (thats sarcasam if you hadn;'t gathered). Yes the time had come, as it does every year for Jeus to once again be born. I mean he was a great guy honestly, but still why do i have to buy and give presents to everyone i kow just because he was born? Still it had to be done so off we went.

Before i continue i'd liek to point out how pointless Christmas Shopping is. I went with £60 this time round (just for staters to get me warmed up) and i didnt spend a penny! That means i got nothing. What a pointless trip out.

But. We did go to Debenhams (for lunch, of course). It was very nice too, had a few cakes and a couple mroe cakes, that was it basically (the excuse for this was that it had gone 11:30 so breakfast had stopped). So we sat down with our cakes, nearing the end and this rather fit girl (from Burgess Hill) just came and sat on our table and started talking to us. I mean that doesn't happen very often to us. She went on taling and we had a conversation about stuff then she went of about how her friend thoguht we were really fit also. Now I started becoming confused when she started asking if we could go and hug her and her mates! Please tell me thats odd? So, well in the end we all left and went our ways, but the odd thing was everyway we tuerned they were there! We couldn't take a few steps without seeing them again. Sadly, we didn't get there number ("lol", sees appromiate there). But that was that. If your out their fit blonde girl contact us - cos we can't call you!.

In the evening we went to play badminton. Which was very fun indeed, had some rallies and some skills based training (sorry if im boring you now) but it was good; well worth it. And that was the end to a rather eventful day. Tomorrow i don't think will be quite as entertaining.

So that was todays events; how fun! Hmm... Cya!

ILLNESS, RANTS and CHRISTMAS

Hiya brothers and sisters!

Sorry for the absence of blog of late. The main reason I haven't laid a blog for a while is that my computer suffered from a virus and I suffered worse with the flu. Turns out mark also had the flu which is a bizarre coincidence in which the chances of this occurring are exactly 1,220,565 to 1 yet it happened anyway (is maths ever right?.) As I write the over-hyped festival of Christmas looms. For all you Christians it's a time to celebrate the wondrous birth of Christ and for all you non-Christians it is a truly confusing time where you put you fake decorations and give each other weird gifts from somebody called Santa Claus (?!?.) This week also sees the start of our Young Enterprise Company 'Print Your Mind.' So if you fancy a t-shirt or card with anything you like on it please do let us know (sorry, it's cheap but I had to plug it!) Also I shall invite you to shared in the nonsensical ravings of a mister M.R Gates (he's Matt's brother by the way.) The links http://tourette-icalmoments.blogspot.com/ and here you can access some truly entertaining, reviews, pictures and even jokes about CHAV's- swish! Well I feel that I have conversed enough so until next time- have a good life!

Don't Stop Bloging

Sorry for our absence to blog recently, it has been due to the absence of things to blog about and the presence of huge amounts of coursework.

But nether the less we are back and in full swing.

Weekend has been good. Saturday went to play badminton and who did we meet there Chris, Jon, Lewis and lady friend (excuse the absence of name). We gave Chris and Jon a doubles match at badminton; which was a very close one at that.

We started by pulling ahead a good lead of 6-0, but of course it couldnt stay there for long. Chris and Jon fought back hard and the score then settled at 8-2. Jon won the serve, but then we got the next point so it was ahnded over to Chris. Then disaster came. Our form was not up to scratch, the court was left empty and confused and the next points were lost all the way up to 8-11 where Chris and Jon won.

Good game guys, we will pay again some time (then you wont be so lucky). But well played.

Sunday didn't bring too much in the way of excitement, but it worked. We did stuff.

Monday tomorrow, what will monday hold in store. Badminton first for a Mark where he can attempt to beat the competition again, and while this is occuring Matt will be learning some lovely poetry. Well let's hope we have fun.

Oh, and apparently a beach party on Shoreham beach on the last day of term. Don't hold me to that, it's what i've heard.

Bye
